I'm new to this area and I don't know enough
people to put together a team but I wanna play,
    what should I do?
No problem. Sign up as an individual and RSL will place
you on a team with other individual sign-ups in your skill
level. We compile the teams and then notify you about
who your other teammates are and when you'll be
playing. Many of our past individual teams stick together
season after season, so it's often a good way to meet
    some new friends.

What if I have a partial team but am short players?
Go ahead and submit what you have and let us know you
need some players. We'll usually have a list of individuals
looking to get on a team and we'll fill out your team for
    you

What happens if I am not placed on a team?
In the rare event we do not have room to place you on a
team, the deposit required for individuals will be refunded
to you by the second week of the season. Until that time,
we'll keep your name on a list and if a spot opens up we
    will contact you.

    What sports do you offer?
Sports4Adults offers leagues in flag football, kickball,
basketball, golf, soccer, volleyball and softball.  We offer
single sex and coed sports, depending on the league.
We are always looking for new sports and leagues that
would be popular among our members, so if you have
    any ideas...let us know!

What is the difference in advertised skill levels?
Regional Sports advertises its leagues based on a
number of skill levels. Play at whatever level is
comfortable for you, but remember, it's all for fun!! This is
a general classification and may vary depending on the
    league.

REC: just for fun, little or no league experience, less
    serious players.

INTER: athletic and/or has previous league experience,
    moderately competitive.

COMP: very experienced, skilled players. more serious
    players and teams.

OPEN: only one division offered, mixture of players and
    skill levels.

What do I need to do if I am captain of a team?
Being a captain of a team entails a number of
responsibilities. Basically, a captain acts as a
representative for their team on the field and with the
league office. You can see a list of responsibilities online
    here.

What if it is raining on the day I play?
Do not assume the games are cancelled if it is raining
where you are. Call the Sports4Adults rainout number
at 704-543-2297 to see if your game is rained out. We
try our best to get games in and may wait until closer to
game time to cancel a game. And please remember,
sometimes game cancellation is out of our control. We
use a number of city fields where the city will close the
field due to the weather, even though you may think it is
playable. Check out more weather information here.

What happens if I get injured?
Participants play with Regional Sports League at their
own risk. Athletic endeavors can be inherently
dangerous. Regional Sports does not provide health
insurance to any players and does not refund players'
fees if they are injured. Players should know the risks
and think twice about playing if they do not have health
insurance coverage. Each participant will be required to
sign an "Amateur Athletic Waiver and Release of
Liability" before playing in their first game.

Does the Sports League have an age limit?
Yes, the league age limit for team sports/activities is 21.

Here are some of the most common in the
past but won't need to worry about with
    RSL:

Lame League Move #1 - No trained Staff –
Forget about not having a well trained staff on
the field for your game, lots of leagues go further
and make you provide players on your team to
hang around and ref or ump once your game is
over. No worries here – you will never need to
assign players to ref other games – we figure
you came to us to play, not to learn how to
    officiate.

Lame League Move #2 - Cheap rates, lots of
add-ons – Ever had to buy your own softballs,
bring your own flags just so you could play in it?
How about spending time calling in your scores
to an answering machine? Not going to happen
    - we figure you should spend your time on the
field, not buying equipment or making phone
    calls.

Lame League Move #3 Rules - Of course, all
sports have rules, however; some of the rules
that are present in today's leagues are
unnecessary or useless for the game. After
each season, rules will be reviewed for
effectiveness. Players will be given the
opportunity to give their input and vote on rules
which should be modified, included or excluded
from the game in preparation for the next
    season.

Lame League Move #4 - Captains' Meetings
and Maitre D’s – The only meeting you’ll need to
attend for playing in our league is when you
meet up with your team to play or for your team
cook-outs. There are no captains’ meetings or
rules meetings.   In addition, you don’t have to
be a descendant of Brett Favre to get into the
league. RSL leagues are first come first serve
every season. Even if you’ve never played with
us before you still have a shot to get into a
league – ‘this ain’t no country club.’

Lame League Move #5 - The ‘never ending
[league] story’ – Ever bowled in a 33 week
bowling league? Ever played in a Softball
league that seemed to last longer then the MLB
season? We know that you have other things to
do and you want to go out of town and have a
life, even if you like sports. Most of our seasons
are fairly short (7 to 9 weeks) so you can play
some games and not have to block off your
schedule for the next 6 months.

Lame League Move #6 - “Individuals need not
apply” – Just because you don’t know 12 other
people doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play in a
league – RSL welcomes all players, and small
groups of friends. It may be a bit more work to
find you a team, but that’s what we are here for.
You might even find that we have gotten pretty
good at creating new teams of individuals with
    similar skill levels and backgrounds.

More on RSL: Regional Sports League is a
small company with around 12 staff members,
based in Charlotte, NC and doing business at
fields and courts. RSL has members from ages
22-52, but the average age of RSL members is
around 25-35. RSL does not allow participants
    under the age of 21.
